Book Signing to Benefit Scholarship at Montrose School

Three authors are slated for a book signing this Saturday at Park Street Books 504 Main St., Medfield. The authors will participate in the Story and Craft Time event at the bookstore with proceeds from sales of the books to benefit the Elizabeth Mary Clare Schickel Scholarship Fund at Montrose School.

Elizabeth Schickel was a gifted student and athlete at Montrose School when she was diagnosed with an invasive brain tumor in January 2013. Elizabeth's strength and determination throughout her year long illness serve as inspiration to many. The scholarship fund was established by her family in her memory after her passing on February 12, 2014, with the goal of providing a scholarship for a gifted student/athlete. This month would have marked Elizabeth's 18th birthday and she would have graduated from Montrose School on June 4, 2016.
