At 9:50am (8/13/19) the Medfield Fire Department was dispatched to 324 South St in Medfield for diesel leaking from a tractor trailer.
Units arrived on scene and found a Feeney Brothers 18 wheel-trailer dump that had the driver side fuel tank ruptured from a broken sewer manhole. 90 gallons of diesel fuel spilled on to the roadway.

The Medfield haz-mat trailer was dispatched, absorbent booms, speedy-dry, and absorbent pads were deployed. The leak extended over a quarter of a mile.
The Medfield Police Department assisted by closing this section of South Street and the Medfield Highway Department assisted by providing sand for diking operations and sanding the roadway. Norfolk Fire assisted by providing additional bags of speedi-dry.
