Celebrating "Arbor Day" in Medfield

Friday, April 26th National Arbor Day....and to celebrate in Medfield, 3 trees were planted at The Center.

On April 26th, Medfield Celebrated Arbor Day with Plantings at The Center!

As Board of Selectmen, Chairman, Gus Murby read the official Arbor Day Proclamation on the grounds at The Center in front of one of the three trees just recently planted on this site, the crews from the Dept of Public Works, along with Director Maurice Goulet, Council on Aging Director, Roberta Lynch, CoA Board Chairman, Bob Heald and Town Administrator, Kristine Trierweiler looked on.

Trierweiler led the charge in getting Medfield to become a "Tree City" and takes pride in celebrating Arbor Day in Medfield. Trees have been planted for the past 6 years in many locations all over the town. Here is a list of the places and years.

2013 Tree Planted in front of Larkins Liquors
2014 Tree Planted at Brothers Marketplace
2015 Tree Planted at the Medfield Overlook at the Charles
2016 Tree Planted at the new Public Safety Building
2017 Tree Planted in front of Montrose School
2018 Tree Planted at Vine Lake Cemetery
2019 Tree Planted at The Center at Medfield
