Donate your gently used furniture this holiday season
Hannah Adams Woman's Club and New Life Furniture Bank of MA will share how to donate your furniture to families in need

Please join the Hannah Adams Woman's Club for a presentation from New Life Furniture Bank of MA, a local charitable organization, staffed by volunteers, that accepts tax-deductible donations of furniture and household items, warehouses them and then makes them available at no charge to those in need through referring agencies. Guest speaker and New Life Volunteer Coordinator, Laura Stanton, will educate us on how New Life Furniture Bank of MA works and the volunteer opportunities available.
According to co-founders Ron Yates and Doug Marshall in a Letter to the Editor on Patch last year, "We have grown tremendously over the last few years, and this campaign is critical to our ability to meet increased demand. In 2014, our first year of operation, New Life served 100 households; in 2018, we served 535, and next year we hope to raise that number to 675 households. We have a lot of work to do - funds to raise and volunteers to recruit - if we're going to meet this goal. We need your help in order to get there."
Please join us to learn how you can give new life to your gently used furniture this holiday season. Please RSVP to hannahadamswc@gmail.com - the event is free but registration is requested.

Our history...
Hannah Adams (1755-1831) was born and raised in Medfield and was the first woman in the United States to make a living as a professional author. She often gathered a circle of friends who shared her interests and enthusiasms, and this group later inspired the club that was officially established in 1894 in her honor and is known as the longest running women's club in America. Today, the Hannah Adams Woman's Club offers friendship, presentations and events to Medfield area women, and raises funds for local causes including the Medfield Home Committee and the Hannah Adams Scholarship Fund. HAWC has also hosted the annual Medfield Senior High School Girls Graduation Tea for nearly 50 years.
