Fifteenth Week - Wednesday's "Medfield Historical Minute"
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis.

A Medfield Historical Minute...
This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.
"On September 1, 1934 Dr. Author Ritchey Stagg, Sr, began practicing medicine in Medfield. He would go on practicing medicine almost up until his death in 2006, serving generations of Medfield residents. He arrived in Medfield from Tennessee. In the mid-1950s due to a large number of epidemics, including everything from flu to scarlet fever to measles and meningitis, he set a record of making 29 house calls in a single day. He also served on the Medfield Board of Health and was the town’s school physician for all school grades and football sporting events. His home and doctor’s office were on 25 Pleasant Street."
