This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"In the late 1950s under music and band director Bob Hersee, the high school adopted a new school/fight song called Hail to Medfield High School, using the music of Our Director. It was played and sung after every touchdown at the high school football games, at the pep rallies, at all high school sporting events, etc. It lasted until 1995 when the new music director Rich Pearson ended the traditional song and instead brought in a new look to the band and a new theme, “the Michigan fight song.” The words, known and sung to the music of Our Director by every student for 40 years were:
