This morning at approximately 1045 hours, the Medfield Fire Department received a call from 331 North Street that the top of a 500 gallon underground propane tank had been hit by a bobcat working in the yard. The top of the tank broke at the base and started to shoot propane into the air. Unable to stop the leak, Medfield Fire was on scene for 3 hours waiting for the tank to empty. Norfolk Fire assisted by providing an engine for station coverage.
