The first ever meeting of the Poetry Readers Discussion Group for Adults will be held at the Medfield Public Library this coming Tuesday, October 8th at 6:30 p.m.
This new group is for everyone: poetry aficionados, poetry lovers, and the poetry curious! Every second Tuesday of the month, the group will meet to discuss a different collection of poetry from a wide range of styles and eras, and will get the ball rolling this time with "The Trouble With Poetry" by Billy Collins.
According to poetryfoundation.org, "Billy Collins is famous for conversational, witty poems that welcome readers with humor but often slip into quirky, tender, or profound observation on the everyday, reading and writing, and poetry itself."

No registration is needed to attend this program, but anyone interested is welcome to email Bri at bozanne@minlib.net to get on the group's mailing list for monthly book selections and scheduling updates. Copies of "The Trouble With Poetry" are available to check out at the library's main desk.
