A Medfield Historical Minute...

This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"In 1889, President Grover Cleveland passed through Medfield, stopping here at the Centre Railroad Station on Park Street, as the newspaper article in the Dedham Transcript says, ” making a three-minute stop to shake hands.” Cleveland is the only sitting U.S. President to visit Medfield while in office. Cleveland who was our 22nd and 24th Presidents, is the only one to serve non-consecutive terms and whose actual name was Stephen Grover Cleveland."
