A Medfield Historical Minute...

This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"In 1921, near Great Bridge (over the Charles River connecting Bridge Street, Medfield with Dover Road, Millis), two Boston teenagers, Anna McCarthy, age 18 and Bartholomew Keane, age 14, staying with their aunt and uncle from Medfield, both drown in the Charles River and were found downstream hanging on to one another. They were visiting their aunt and uncle in Medfield over the 4th of July holiday."
