Friends of the Medfield Library Seek Community Support

The Friends of the Medfield Library will conduct its 2015 Annual Meeting at the library on Tuesday, November 17th at 7:00 pm. The public is invited and encouraged to attend this meeting to learn how the Friends support the library and the need for volunteers of all sorts to help in the effort.

The Friends offer many opportunities to help sustain the library, whether on a one-time project basis or a longer term commitment. Volunteers can pitch in at the Friends Bookstore, help maintain membership records and lists, promote Friends activities in social media, coordinate the Friends scholastic creative writing awards, plan fundraising events, or assist with marketing and publicity efforts, just to name a few options.

Currently, the Friends donate $20,000 annually to support library materials, programs and services. The future of that funding is in jeopardy without volunteer reinforcements. The Friends invite all community members who care about the Medfield Library’s future to attend the meeting on the 17th.
