Medfield Parks & Recreation is excited to offer a brand new opportunity for 14 and 15 year olds this summer -- a Counselor in Training program!

The Counselor-in-Training
(CIT) Program is designed for those 14 and 15 year olds who are ready to take on a new role at camp and take on fresh challenges, opportunities and responsibilities. Camp is an ideal setting that aids in the development of important life skills such as communication, problem solving and cooperation, all in the same fun, magical, creative culture that keeps campers returning summer after summer. Participants in the CIT program will gain meaningful leadership experience while
actually putting the skills they develop into practice on a regular basis.
WHO IS THE CIT PROGRAM FOR?
The ideal candidate for the CIT program is energetic, responsible, outgoing and a self-starter who will help lead daily activities that promote a fun, engaging and positive environment. The 2019 CIT program is for 14 & 15 year olds (must be 14 by May 1, 2019 to qualify). This will be a highly selective program where only a select few applicants will be accepted.
PROGRAM DETAILS
The CIT program is a two-week session. The program will run on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30-4:00 at our Discovery Camp, which is for ages 4-8. If selected, you will be expected to be available those three days each week.
If chosen as a CIT, there is NO COST to attend. CITs will be provided with a staff shirt and will be
expected to participate in all camp activities, including swimming at Hinkley Pond.
