Letter to Editor: Endorsement to Re-Elect School Committee Incumbent, Anna Mae O'Shea Brooke

Medfield Elections will be held on Monday, March 27th. Polls are open from 6am - 8pm. Medfield residents are encouraged to vote!

The following Letter to the Editor was sent by Tim Bonfatti, a member of the Medfield School Committe.

Dear Editor,

My name is Tim Bonfatti and I have been a member of the Medfield School Committee since 2006. I am also a member of the Medfield Permanent Building Committee since 1999 when we built a new High School and the Memorial Elementary School. In my eighteen years of engagement on school issues, I haven’t worked with a person more dedicated to those issues than Anna Mae O’Shea Brooke. That is why I whole heartedly endorse Anna Mae for re-election to the school committee.

On school committee, Anna Mae is a relentlessly positive and constructive voice on behalf of students and parents. A hard worker, she serves on several subcommittees and rarely misses a meeting. While a great teammate, Anna Mae isn’t afraid to question the status quo or ask the difficult question (although always with a smile). Her work on behalf of Medfield began long before her work on the school committee. She first served on and then became a leader of both New ‘n Towne and the MCPE. She volunteers in the community and within the schools. In short, she puts her money where her mouth is.

Our town is in a time of transition as Medfield continues to evolve into a vibrant suburban community with much to attract new residents. Transitions present challenges and it’s important that leaders like Anna Mae continue to be a positive voice. I plan on casting my vote for her and I urge concerned citizens who want constructive change – not just conflict – to do so as well.
