Letter to the Editor: In support of Candidate Mike Pastore for Selectman

Dear Editor,

I am writing this letter in support of Mike Pastore for Selectman.

What has impressed me the most about Mike is actually very simple – his strong desire to listen to the concerns of Medfield residents.The first time I had the privilege of meeting Mike was at a coffee hour he
hosted at Brothers Market. A diverse group of residents sat around the table –women and men, representing a range of ages. We talked about the issues and concerns that are most important to us – from housing prices for seniors to decisions regarding the State Hospital. Mike listened thoughtfully to our worries and suggestions, and stressed the importance of careful planning and a forward-looking approach.

Mike’s experience makes him a great fit for Selectman:

~ As a former Legislative Aide and Budget & Policy Analyst at the Massachusetts State House, he focused on
issues related to seniors, veterans, and the preservation of historic land

~ As a lawyer, he represents businesses and community groups; he also works with the Middlesex DA’s office
doing pro bono work for victims of domestic violence

~ As a parent of a child in the Medfield schools, and the cousin of a Medfield teacher, he knows how wonderful our schools are and is focused on supporting education
