Troop 89 Express Gratitude In A Letter To The Editor

Dear Editor,
On behalf of Troop 89, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the residents, Medfield’s Department of Public Works, Town Administrators, and the Board of Selectmen for their tremendous support of our 29th Annual Christmas Tree and Greens Pick-Up Service.

This cherished tradition would not be possible without the collaboration and generosity of our community. This year, with the generosity of patrons and donations we exceeded our financial goal—proof of the amazing support from the Medfield community.

We are so grateful for Medfield’s strong community spirit and commitment to supporting local scouting. Beyond being a vital fundraiser, this service is a cornerstone of learning for our scouts. It teaches responsibility, teamwork, time management, and the value of giving back. From coordinating the 5,000 flyers to ensuring every tree is picked up, our scouts take pride in contributing to this effort while building life skills that extend far beyond scouting. We are grateful for the continued support of the Town of Medfield and its residents, who make this possible year after year.

Your generosity directly funds scouting activities, leadership development, and the many adventures that help shape the next generation of community leaders.

Thank you for believing in our mission and helping Troop 89, founded in 1959, continue to thrive.

Sincerely,
Kimberly Gargano, Melissa Lowry, Jim Hatch & Tim Gargano
