May is Green Month - Upcoming collections at the Transfer Station

Saturday, May 11th - Learn more about the Food Waste Drop off program...and also on May 11th, "Dignity Matters" will be collecting items.

A Message from the Transfer Station and Recycling Committee...

On Saturday May 11th from 9am – 1pm you can learn more about the Food Waste Drop-off program at the Transfer Station.

Volunteers will be on hand to teach you the ins and outs about diverting your food waste from the trash through the program at the Transfer Station. You will learn how your food scraps can become a rich compost to improve soil. This program can save the town money if we divert enough food from the tip floor trash!

Starter kits for your kitchen and home will be available for $15 and compost bins for your backyard will also be for sale ($25 plus tax). Stop by and learn more!

"Dignity Matters" will be collecting women’s sanitary products to distribute to women who cannot afford these basics.
