Medfield Field Hockey with 2 League Wins
3-2 win over Ashland and 1-0 Victory over Westwood this week - now with 7-4 overall record.
The Medfield High School Field Hockey team had 2 league victories this week. The first win came over Ashland 3-2 at home in a seesaw battle. Ashland took the lead into halftime 1-0. Medfield tied it up on a goal by Senior Tri Captain Olivia Feldman assisted by Marykate McNeil. McNeil got the next 2 goals with the game winner with 55 seconds remaining. Her first goal was a reverse sweep to make it 2-1. The game winner was assisted by Anna Pagliarulo. Tess Beardsley played well at right wing for the Warriors. Emily Piersak was strong on defense for the Warriors.
On Friday in Westwood the Warriors won 1-0. Sophie Griffin, sophomore forward, scored the game winner with assists by Marykate McNeil and and Erin Seibel. Sophomore Jordan Wietrecki played well in net for Medfield filling in for the injured Elizabeth Keleher.
