Medfield Garden Club and Brothers Marketplace Partner to Bring Two Events to Medfield This September

Grow It, Eat It, Keep It! on September 9th and Visit Brothers Marketplace September 10th for a Harvest Tasting Event with Five Local Farms!

GROW IT, EAT IT, KEEP IT! WITH THE MEDFIELD GARDEN CLUB

Join the Medfield Garden Club on September 9th at 10 a.m. for a discussion with Lifetime Master Gardener, Susan Hammond, Volunteer Keeper and Manager of Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s 6,000 sq. ft. Garden to Table Vegetable Garden at Elm Bank. Susan’s presentation, “Grow It, Eat It, Keep It!” is a one-hour program that will include samples of home-grown produce and a chance to look at some of the basic equipment used in home food preservation. HARVEST TASTING EVENT AT BROTHERS MARKETPLACE IN MEDFIELD

Brothers Marketplace and the Medfield Garden Club will co-host a Harvest Tasting on September 10th from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in the store located at 446 Main Street in Medfield. The event is open to the community and will feature produce from local farms, local cheeses, honey, jams and an old fashioned barbeque so guests can also taste sustainably grown meats. Showcase farms will include the Silverwood Farm, a certified organic producer from Sherborn MA; Natick Community Organic Farm, a nonprofit, certified organic farm in Natick; Tangerini’s Farm, a sixty-seven acre, 98% organic farm in Millis; Dartmouth’s Jansal Valley Farm, the first farm in MA to be G.A.P. Certified and the Belkin Family Lookout Farm in Natick, one of the oldest working farms in the country.
