Hockey Town: Girls Continue to Thrive in Medfield Youth Hockey Program
"Girls’ hockey in Medfield continues to grow! This season, 39 girls are competing on the town's U8, U10, and U12 teams against opponents across Massachusetts, while another 22 are building their skills through the Learn-to-Skate and Learn-to-Play programs. That’s 60+ girls actively playing hockey through the town hockey program - in addition to girls playing for their club hockey teams.
Taking inspiration from our defending state champion Medfield Girls’ High School Hockey Team, we have continued to see growth across all ages, and for the first time fielded a U12 Girls’ Team this season. As the program continues to grow, we’ve been fortunate to participate in a number of unique hockey experiences this season: Girls Stick Together clinic run by the high school head coach and players, exhibition games at the Providence Bruins, participation in the state qualifying tournament (U10 & U12), Jay Peak Hockey Tournament in Vermont, Crusader Tournament at Holy Cross, and a group experience with the Boston Fleet at their upcoming PWHL game at the TD Garden on April 11th at 7PM.

We will be holding a Girls Open Skate at Norfolk Ice Arena on April 17th from 5-6PM. All ages and skill levels are welcome, full hockey equipment is required. Please register through the MYH website (www.medfieldyouthhockey.org). Girls from surrounding towns are encouraged to attend!
Registration for next season across all teams, coed and girls only, is now open on the MYH website. Make sure and follow @medfield_youth_hockey on Instagram and Facebook for updates, pictures, special announcements, and events.

We look forward to continuing the tradition of girls’ hockey in Medfield, and of course supporting our girls as they progress in their hockey journeys!"
