Medfield Nearing Decision For Dale Street School Architect

The architect chosen will study if the Dale Street School needs to be renovated or replaced.

MEDFIELD, MA — School officials expect to have an architectural firm to study the Dale Street School by the beginning of the month. The district met with Massachusetts School Building Authority officials to decide the firm that will help the district determine if the elementary school should be renovated or replaced.

During a School Committee meeting on Oct. 17, Superintendent Jeffrey Marsden announced he, building committee chairman Michael Quinlan and School Committee member Leo Brehm met with authority officials and narrowed a field of eight architectural firms down to four. The firms moving on to interviews on Nov. 5 include Arrowstreet, CBT Architects, RDA Design and JCJ Architecture.

"They were great about it; they were gracious," Marsden said about the finalists. "We're looking forward to that meeting on Nov. 5."
