Medfield - Panel Discussion on Human Trafficking
A5, a Medfield high school club, supported by Amilia’s Light will host a panel discussion on February 12, 2020 at the United Church of Christ in Medfield.
The panel will be comprised of experts from local anti-trafficking support and prevention organizations. Representatives from RIA House - Framingham, Bags Of Hope, MCEHT, the Massacusetts Coalition to End Human Trafficking, and other organizations will speak about the the reality of commercial sex exploitation in Massachusetts.

The event will take place on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at United Church of Christ in Medfield, 496 Main Street 7 to 9 pm. The event is free.
A5 is a high school club, with a mission to spread awareness about human trafficking. The club, under the guidance of Garland Kincaid, teacher advisor, and Janet Jimenez, Amilia’s Light Club Coordinator, works on an annual project to highligt the dark world of commercial sex trafficking and exploitation, with a focus on what is happening in the U.S., Massachusetts, and even our surrounding towns. Amilia's Light is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization created to empower survivors of sex trafficking through local awareness programs and projects that foster survivor dignity and self worth. Their primary project is an Empowerment Program in Uganda that offers training and education for survivors of sex trafficking. At the 10,000 Lights Women’s Centre in Kampala, Uganda, survivors are given trauma support through counseling and medical treatment, mentoring in life skills and vocational training. The program provides a path for young women who are creating a new life, away from the commercial sex trade.
