Medfield TV To Host Candidate Forum - Have You Got Questions?

Medfield Voters, what burning questions would you like to ask candidates running for office in the Medfield Town Election on March 31?

Here’s the chance for voters to offer ideas.

With two contested races for the 2025 Town Election, 1) School Committee and 2) Library Trustees, Medfield TV has scheduled a public forum on Wednesday, March 19 at Chenery Hall, 2nd Floor Town House, to help voters get to know candidates a bit better.

In addition, Medfield TV is scheduling interviews with Select Board and Town Moderator candidates running uncontested that will also take place on the same day and location. All uncontested candidates have been invited to participate.

Participating in the forum at 6 p.m. on March 19 will be Caroline Waisberg and Roseli Weiss. (Multiple rescheduling attempts were made but candidates Michelle Kirkby and Sophia Viglas were not available, although schedules may change. Kirkby is an incumbent and
School Committee chair.)

Library Trustees

All candidates will participate in the forum at 6:45 p.m. on March 19 and include Caryn Picarillo, Phil Tuths (incumbent), Sarah Westhoven and Richard White (incumbent).

At 2 p.m. on March 19, Select Board candidate Eileen Murphy will participate in a live interview on Medfield TV, while Town Moderator candidate Mike Pastore will do the same at 7:30 p.m. on that date. Murphy and Pastore are running unopposed.

In preparation for the night, voters are encouraged to submit suggested forum and interview questions to CLICK HERE To Submit Questions by Sunday, March 9.

In addition to Medfield TV, representatives from Medfield Environment Action, Medfield Insider, and Patch are helping to organize or promote the forum.

Former town moderator Scott McDermott will help to choose the questions, structure the forum, and will also moderate the event and conduct candidate interviews.
