Dear Medfield Community,

Once again, the Medfield Community has demonstrated its generous spirit and selfless giving through its support of the Medfield Youth Outreach Holiday Gifts program. This year, over 73 families were sponsored, and the many community members that contributed to this sponsorship infused joy and warmth into the homes of local families with children and teens.

Over one hundred Medfield youth were given the opportunity to receive gifts this holiday season that fulfilled their wishes and met their needs.

There were many ways to give to this program, from sponsoring a family through the Christmas Angels, to taking an angel off of the Angel Tree at the Medfield Public Library, to contributing to the gift drive at Jaie3 Salon, to fulfilling the holiday wish of a child at the Fitness Together Giving Tree, to taking part of MEMO’s gift card drive, to knitting warm winter items for the St. Edwards One Family Knitters, to promoting this program via social media or word of mouth, to helping to
sort gifts. The generosity and time given by so many community members is very much appreciated and is reflective of the giving spirit of the Medfield community. Together, you supported your neighbors and brightened one another's holidays.

The families who participated in the Holiday Gifts program were so grateful for your care and were so appreciative of this overwhelming kindness. Some messages of thanks that were shared included: “I want to express my huge gratitude for these generous gifts!!!! This is huge!” and “I am truly overwhelmed with gratitude and appreciate all that the donors do to help at this time of year especially.”

I am touched each year by the generosity of the Medfield community and the trust of the families in this program who put their trust in the kindness of their neighbors. Please know that your giving spirit has made an incredible difference in the lives of the families you supported. Removing the stress of trying to stretch limited resources to provide a meaningful holiday experience for their children this season helped to reduce significant anxiety for the parents whose children benefited from your gifts.

Thank you for allowing the Medfield Youth Outreach office to serve in this capacity each year and to be able to take the good in all of your hearts and have the privilege to share it.
