Community Corner
New Life Furniture Bank Virtual 5K was a great success!
Thank you from the New Life Trail Run Committee, "The Medfield community support was humbling and terrific this year."

Dear Medfield Community,
The members of the New Life 5k Trail Run Committee would like to thank our community for their continuing support of the New Life Furniture Bank of MA, and our New Life 5k. The event was virtual in its 3rd year because of the coronavirus. The organizers prepared for lower turnout, and a
possible reduction in sponsorship amidst the pandemic. We are thrilled to report that the opposite happened. Registrations increased over last year. And every single sponsor stayed with us. We
are humbled and grateful for this.
There were registrants from all over the country, including California, Vermont, Colorado, Florida, New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Maine, Pennsylvania, and even a team from Australia! The top male finisher was Carl Gustafson, Boston, MA (17:47), and the top female finisher was Carmen Luisi, Holliston, MA (19:20) (a winner for the second year in a row!).

At New Life Furniture Bank of MA, we are proud to have served over 2,500 households since our founding six years ago. Over this time period, we have provided not just 33,000 pieces of furniture, but helped to create a stable home for our clients and kept these items out of landfills. All of this has been made possible by the 800 volunteers who contributed over 29,000 hours of their time and energy.
Our Medfield-based not-for-profit organization operates a Donation Center in Walpole, and serves the MetroWest and Greater Boston area. New Life provides a meaningful option for local residents who are downsizing, renovating or disposing of a loved one’s property.
