A Medfield Historical Minute...

This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"In 1891 a plan was developed by James Hewins for the town’s historic houses to be given Native-American names. Each Native-American name had an historic connection to the town. Bronze plates bearing these names, each 11 by 3 ½ inches in size, were places upon the 30 historic dwellings."
