Nineteenth Week - Wednesday's "Medfield Historical Minute"
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis.

A Medfield Historical Minute...
This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.
"On January 17, 1923 the Medfield Town Hall went up in flames for the second time in 50 years. The entire inside of the building was gutted leaving only a partial shell. Blankets of snow on the nearby buildings saved the town center and kept the fire from spreading. Hot embers were reported to have fallen up to two miles away. Due to mild weather the town hall was quickly rebuilt by early fall of 1923."
