Ninth Week - Monday's "Medfield Historical Minute"
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis.

A Medfield Historical Minute...
This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
Anlittle something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.
"During the first years of Medfield’s settlement wolves and wildcats infested the swamps in and around Medfield and the noise they made much annoyed the early settlers at night. The howl of the wolf was frequently heard and young cattle were often killed by them. Hunting wolvers was a necessary pursuit and very popular among the teenage and twenty-something young men. The bounties offered by the selectmen made the reward for bringing in a wolf’s head quite substantial."
