A Medfield Historical Minute...

This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"In 1951 Town Meeting gave a standing appreciation to Tree Warden George L.L. Allen for “faithful, capable and industrious service as Tree Warden of the Town of Medfield for the past forty-two years.” His grandson Ellis N. Allen was then nominated to fill the position. Ellis would go on to serve as tree warden until 1984. Together the two Allens served the town as tree warden for 75 years."
