Ninth Week - Thursday's "Medfield Historical Minute"
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis.

A Medfield Historical Minute...
This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.
"Granville F. Dailey died in New York in 1929 after an illness of several months at the age of 81. Dailey was long associated with the hat factory in town, acting with Haskell Searle as the New York sales connection to the hat factory. He also gave to the town the Memorial Public library in 1917 in memory of his wife and daughter, who summered in Medfield for many years. Dailey was also responsible for the fundraising necessary to save the Peak House and turn it over to the Historical Society. In his honor, the hat factory was closed during the time of his funeral in New York."
