The grant was written by Dale Street 4th grade teacher and MHS Girls Varsity Soccer Assistant Coach, Sara Isaacson. Having been a serious student herself and a competitive athlete in her high school years, she eventually played soccer at Brandeis University. She knows the pressures that student athletes put on themselves both academically and athletically at the high school level, but feels it is magnified at the college level. Her sense is that the intense pressure is trickling down to the HS students and her goal is to start a conversation and help combat this issue.
