Second Week - Sunday's "Medfield Historical Minute"

A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis.

A Medfield Historical Minute...

This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis.

A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"In 1920, two employees of Medfield State Hospital, Leo Hays and Wesley Stapleford, were found guilty of assault and battery on Joseph Campbell, a resident of the hospital who was under their care. Campbell claimed he was severely beaten by the two men; his face bore markings of the beating and he was under medical treatment for the injuries. Dedham District Judge Plympton interviewed Campbell at the hospital and spoke to witnesses. The two men were found guilty of assault and battery and each fined $25."
