Submit your questions for March 16 Candidate Forum!
The Forum, 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Medfield HS Auditorium, will help shed light on contested candidate views prior to the March 27 election.
Not sure who to vote for in the 2017 Medfield election? With three contested races – including Medfield Board of Selectmen, School Committee and Library Trustees – it will be up to each voter to become educated about candidates' views before casting a ballot on March 27. The Candidate Forum on Thursday, March 16 is designed to help, and Medfield community members are invited to submit questions in advance here.
The event will be held in the Medfield High School Lowell Mason Auditorium and kick off with a reception at 6:30 p.m. in the lobby with all candidates on the election ballot; information on the marijuana ballot question (see photo of sample ballot) will also be available. The forum will start at 7 p.m. and go until about 8:30 p.m., with the Q&A portion focused exclusively on Selectman and School Committee races. The Library Trustee segment will consist of short, prepared candidate remarks instead of a Q&A.
Instead of submitting anonymous questions online, community members also have the option of dropping handwritten questions into the Forum box at The Center at Medfield. The deadline for submitting questions by either method is Tuesday, March 14 (extended from March 10).
