Below are ideas for each day. Visit Earthday.org and the Medfield Sustainability Alliance Facebook page for more ideas.
Sunday: Make a sign and hang it on a window, door or other visible spot for neighbors walking by to see you care about our planet. Draw the planet and use the hashtags #MedfieldLovesEarth and #EarthDay2020 if you'd like!

Monday: Visit Earthday.org, learn more, and sign up to show your support.
Tuesday: Spend 20 minutes nature journaling. Go outside or look outside a window and record what you see, hear, smell or feel. Start with observations and write down anything that you become curious about or any memories or thoughts that this time brings to mind.
Wednesday: Earth Day! Watch a film related to the environment. There are so many to choose from. Consider the Lorax for younger families, the Story of Stuff for teens and Chasing Ice for late teens and adults!
Thursday: Learn more about Medfield’s Food Waste Drop-Off Program via Zoom at 12:00 noon. This program is sponsored by the Medfield Public Library and Transfer Station and Recycling Committee. It will be held at 12:00 through Zoom. Email pgardner@minlib.net for the zoom link.
Friday: Hug a tree. No Social Distancing required! Or participate in a virtual Climate Strike from home. Take a photo and post it #climatestrike, #fridaysforfuture.Saturday: Hold your own clean-up and pick up litter outside.
