Thank You "Letter to Editor" from Medfield Lions Club...
Medfield Lions Christmas tree fundraiser is the largest of the year and net proceeds are given to worthy organizations and families in need.

Dear Editor,
In Medfield there are many holiday traditions that take place annually, and the Medfield Lions Club Christmas Tree sales is one that not only the Lions are committed to but it is one that the community embraces and supports.
Our Club is grateful to everyone who participated in making this another successful fundraising event.

We would first like to thank R.K. Medfield, LLC, the new owners of the Medfield Shops, for letting us return to this wonderful location by affording us space in their parking lot to set up our tree sales equipment and trees. Secondly, we are most grateful to the MHS Lacrosse Team and their Coach, John Isaf, for their assistance the morning after Thanksgiving with unloading 400 trees.
A huge thank you to our loyal patrons and to all those who just happened by and purchased a Christmas tree from our lot. Each and every Lion who had the pleasure of greeting our customers enjoyed their interactions with local families and helping to make the tree buying experience a special one for each and every customer.

We Lions can attest that this annual fundraiser “takes a village” to be successful. So, thank you to each and every person and organization who participated in our tree sales experience.
Our annual Christmas Tree sales is the Medfield Lions largest fundraiser of the year and every cent of our net proceeds is given to worthy organizations and families in need. If you purchased your tree from the Lions (or gave a generous check in support), you helped fund the donations we make throughout the year. Here is just a small sampling of where Lions dollars go:
- · Medfield Food Cupboard
- · Medfield Animal Shelter
- · Friends of Medfield Seniors (FOSI)
- · Mass Lions Eye Research
- · Scholarships to Medfield High School graduates
- · Local families in temporary crisis
Simply put, if it wasn’t for faithful supporters like you, we wouldn’t be able to continue to support those we are dedicated to help.
We also want to take this opportunity to encourage people who live or work in Medfield to consider joining our Club. Being a Lion is a rewarding experience to meet and work with a group of people with generous hearts. If you would like to learn more and join us for a meeting - we hold 10 dinner meetings per year catered by Basil Restaurant - please contact our Membership chairperson, Lee Tredway at lee.tredway@verizon.net.
We hope you will continue to support the Lions Club and consider joining our Club. And we wish you a very happy 2020 new year!
Best,
Colleen Sullivan, President
