Thank you Letter to Editor from Medfield Food Cupboard Co-Presidents, Tracey Rogers and Susan Gorog.

- Dear Friends and Supporters of the Medfield Food Cupboard,
On behalf of the Medfield Food Cupboard, we would like to thank our donors and volunteers for their ongoing support. Throughout the year, but especially during the holidays, our community demonstrates its support of the Food Cupboard and its clients.
At our Thanksgiving and Christmas distributions, the Fellowship Hall at the United Church of Christ was filled with a bounty of food donations, homemade treats and gifts - all from our generous community. Individuals and community groups shared their talents and their generosity with our clients. Our supporters donated to our collection bins around town, gave to our annual appeal, and held food drives at their holiday parties, churches, schools, and places of business.
At this year’s annual “Wish Maker Event,” friends and neighbors filled holiday gift wishes for our clients by contributing boots, warm winter clothes, hats, and gloves. Another group of residents collected donations from friends and created thoughtful gift baskets for our clients. A church group made lovely warm knitted hats and scarves, a second provided Christmas stockings for our younger clients, and a third provided decorated holiday cookies. The Medfield Lions Club provided Christmas trees. A Girl Scout troop contributed beautifully wrapped ingredients to make gingerbread houses, and our friends from Medfield Helping Hands provided fresh tea breads.
Thanks to the generosity of our community and the hard work of our dedicated volunteers, many neighbors, who need a little assistance, enjoyed a holiday season with healthy meals along with a few presents for their loved ones.
Your financial contributions and food donations continue to be our sole means for providing supplemental and emergency food to our clients. We are grateful to live in such a wonderful, giving town.
We wish you all a healthy and happy New Year.
