Three seniors from the class of 2016 at Montrose School have been named National Merit Finalists

Montrose School's Brigid Bane'16, Emma Frank'16 and Abigail Gillis'16 have been named Finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Only 15,000 students nationwide achieve this honor. In addition to outstanding scores on this test, Brigid, Emma and Abigail displayed a record of consistently outstanding academic work throughout high school at Montrose School. As Finalists, the three girls will be considered for National Merit Scholarships worth more than $32 million to be offered in the spring of 2016. In addition, three Montrose School seniors were recognized this past fall as National Merit Commended Students. Molly Cahill ’16,MaryGrace King ’16 and Saoirse Healy ’16 are among only 34,000 students nationwide receiving this honor, placing them within the top five percent of U.S. high school seniors nationwide.

The six girls represent a full 15% of the Montrose school's current senior class of 41 students to have been honored by the National Merit Corporation this year.
