March 26, 2020 -Thursday's MEDFIELD HISTORICAL MINUTE:

"In 1797 a Medfield tradition of killing birds on Election Day continued. Election Day was also known as “Bird Killing Day.” On that date some 1,000 birds were killed here in Medfield. It was reported that mainly the “hurtful ones” were killed."
