TSARC Foam Collection in Medfield on October 26th

GOT FOAM to be Recycled?

Bring it to TSARC Foam Collection on Saturday, October 26 from 9am-2pm.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 26th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Swap Area of the Transfer Station. Please bring appropriate types of foam (it must SNAP when bent...expanded polystyrene) in CLEAR or WHITE leaf or trash bags.

ACCEPTABLE FOAM, BRING THESE FOR RECYCLING!

  • Packing foam- used to ship electronics, appliances, etc.,
  • Foam coolers,
  • Foam egg cartons,
  • Foam food trays and cups- colors accepted; must be rinsed, clean, and dry.

TIP: if it snaps cleanly, it is the correct material. If it bends, is spongy or breaks into
pieces/granules, it is not recyclable by our vendor.

  1. All items must be clean and dry,
  2. All Foam should be put in WHITE or CLEAR trash bags,
  3. No contractor trash bags or trash bags of any COLOR (per vendor),
  4. Clear leaf bags are available at Wills in Medfield and other hardware stores.

NOT ACCEPTED FOR RECYCLING!

  • Foam wrapping sheets
  • Foam urethane- spongy packing material; may be used in mattress toppers
  • Pluck foam- spongy, ridged packing material; may be used in mattress toppers
  • Dirt, dust, leaves or spider webs
  • Labels, tape, attached paper, glue
  • Packing peanuts
