A Medfield Historical Minute...

This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"In 1917 the debt on St Edward Church, Main Street (opened 1893) was reduced to $400. In the years before St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church was built in Westwood, many Catholics from Westwood attended Mass at St. Edward, arriving and leaving Sunday morning on the electric trolley cars that ran along Main Street (RT 109) from Dedham, through Westwood and into Medfield."
