Twentieth Week - Sunday's "Medfield Historical Minute"
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis.

A Medfield Historical Minute...
This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.
"In 1959 Medfield got its first super market. It was called Super Duper and it was located in the building now housing CVS on Main Street. Out on Main Street in front of the store was an enormous sign with a large elephant holding the name “Super Duper.” In 1977 the Super Duper name was changed to Nine-to-Nine. By 1986 the name again changed, this time to “M & M Star.” M & M Star then sold to CVS. The Super Duper building was rehabbed and divided into two sections with CVS taking the larger part and D’Angelo’s the smaller western end. Later CVS, needing more space, turned the building back to one store, as can be seen today."
