A Medfield Historical Minute...

This "Medfield Historical Minute" is brought to you by town historian Richard DeSorgher.
A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different "Medfield Historical Minute" will appear each day during the Crisis.

"In 1947, town selectmen warned townspeople that the maintenance of the town dump on Grove Street was becoming too costly due to the fact that residents were not dumping over the edge and down into the pit, resulting in “strewn refuse everywhere.” Said the selectmen, “unless the townspeople cooperate in the case of the dump, it will continue to be a costly expenditure. The manner in which the people use this dump constitute a serious health menace.”
