Wheelock Celebrates 100th Day of School...

The 100th day of school is an exciting time at Ralph Wheelock School.

The 100th day!

Thursday, February 6, 2020 was Wheelock School's 100th day of school and that means it was a day to CELEBRATE!

This year, the theme was "Dress like you're 100 years old" and Principal, Mrs. Caulfield, the teachers and the front office staff, Mrs. Reddy, Mrs. DiGregorio and Mrs. Schiemer all got in the spirit and looked great!

Teachers planned creative ways for the students learn and celebrate "100 days". One class created a 100 cup pyramid, other students made drawings and designed artwork with 100 pieces.

In addition, Mr. Spence, one of Wheelock's talented and imaginative custodians, worked with Mrs. Caulfield to create the "100 counter button" which each student got to press as they went off to class. Special prizes were given to students who hit certain numbers (25, 50, 75, etc).

Mrs. Foley, Elementary Technology Integration specialist, created QR codes and posted them around Wheelock School so children could scan the code and learn a fun fact about the number 100. Here are some of the "fun facts" the students learned...see if you know the answers (shown below).
