Who's Running for Office in Medfield?: UPDATED
Updated as of 11:11 a.m., Jan. 26: Candidate for Board of Selectman confirmed; others pulled papers for School Committee

(Note: this information will be updated periodically as potential candidates for office emerge and can be officially confirmed by Town Clerk.)
Based on an updated list provided by Town Clerk Carol Mayer, more than 10 positions are up for election in 2017. Below is a status report (as of 11:11 a.m., Jan. 26, 2017) on any residents who have "pulled papers" to run for office in the Medfield Town Election on Monday, March 27. Mayer has recently posted descriptions of each position on the town website.
Anyone interested in jumping in the race should obtain official papers from Mayer (located on the 1st floor of Town Hall in the back corner) and return them with at least 50 signatures of registered Medfield voters by Monday, Feb. 6. According to Mayer, there is no limit to how many people can run for any one position.

As former selectman and Town Historian Richard DeSorgher routinely states, "Democracy is not a spectator sport. Without the support of citizens willing to take part in the running of our town, we can not successfully function. Your involvement is needed."
