Alderman Frank Wright Endorses Paul Brodeur For Mayor: Letter

As a seven term Melrose Alderman who also serves a senior department head in a nearby city where I have worked for over two decades, I wholeheartedly support Paul Brodeur for Mayor.

In looking for the candidate who can best maintain the positive progress Melrose has achieved, I keep coming back to Paul Brodeur, who as a former President of the Board of Alderman and Melrose’s State Representative for the past nine years, has been a vital part of making Melrose the desirable community it has become.

Paul has the much-needed experience both in City government, where he served as President of the Board of Aldermen as well as at the State House where over $15 million of Melrose’s operating budget originates. Paul not only knows where to go, and who to talk to in Melrose, but has also built relationships at the state level with those he will have to advocate to on our behalf as mayor.

Paul recognizes challenges - be they fiscal, infrastructure, environmental - and has shown an ability to move government forward, to adapt in a measured, thoughtful way that achieves results. Many of these challenges can sometimes be addressed through regional cooperation. Because Paul has worked with elected officials from across the state, that experience will serve Melrose well as we tackle these and other issues.

As a lifelong resident, Paul also has well rounded knowledge of Melrose as well as a commitment to a variety of causes in our community.

I believe if you take a close look at Paul’s experience and record of accomplishment and effectiveness, you’ll join me in voting for Paul Brodeur for Mayor of Melrose on September 17th.
