MELROSE, MA — Some residents found themselves without power Wednesday night due to a National Grid outage in the vicinity of Beacon Street.

The entire street lost power at approximately 11:40 p.m. after a day of strong rain and winds. National Grid crews arrived on scene shortly after to repair the issue. Power was generally restored about 90 minutes after the initial outage, however it reportedly went out for a second time shortly after 6 a.m. It has since been restored and is not currently listed on the company's outage map.
