Back Bay Ringers Handell Concert

Back Bay Ringers present "Childhood Memories" concert with songs for the young and the young at heart.

The Back Bay Ringers, Boston’s leading community-based handbell ensemble, will present a spring concert at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2015, at First Congregational Church, 121 West Foster St., Melrose, MA.

Back Bay Ringers (BBR) is an advanced, auditioned community handbell ensemble. Under the direction of Griff Gall, BBR has a reputation for musical excellence, regularly performing at Boston-area landmarks such as Faneuil Hall, Symphony Hall, and the Prudential Center. BBR has also performed in festivities associated with the Boston Marathon and as part of the Mayor’s Holiday Spectacular.

This spring’s program, Childhood Memories, is designed to be fun for the young and the young-at-heart. Selections will include popular songs like the Theme from the Muppet Show, music from The Sound of Music, audience favorite All-American Hometown Band, and classics from the Carnival of the Animals.

Proceeds from the concert will be donated by First Congregational Church to Bread of Life, an organization that works to feed the hungry in communities north of Boston. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and students. Tickets are available for purchase online at http://ringers-fccmelrose.ticketleap.com/cmmelrose/ and will be available at the door.
