The following is a statement from State Representative Paul Brodeur, who is also a candidate for the Mayor of Melrose

The following is a statement from State Representative Paul Brodeur, who is also a candidate for the Mayor of Melrose:
On Tuesday September 17th, Melrosians took the first step in shaping the future of our city. To all of the residents who voted and participated in the preliminary election, thank you.
Thank you also to my volunteers and supporters who worked countless hours helping get the word out about why Melrose Matters. Without your hard work and dedication, this would have all been impossible.

I want to extend a sincere thank you to my fellow candidates Monica Medeiros, Jackie Lavender Bird, Mike Zwirko and Manisha Bewtra who focused on a positive, robust dialogue on the issues our city faces. And I congratulate Monica Mederios and I look forward to campaigning alongside her this fall.
Thank you all for being part of our community because the strength of Melrose is the people who call this city home. This is about all of us young and old, families and young professionals. It is about coming together behind a shared vision for the future of our city that brings us together and moves us forward, without leaving anyone behind.

I am running to be your mayor, because I know that through my experience on both the state and local level, I can bring the vision, and expertise to City Hall that Melrose needs.
Over the next several weeks, I look forward to continuing my conversations with Melrosians about my plans for Melrose and their ideas and concerns about our city. Melrose is a great place and together we can make it even better.
I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you out on the campaign trail, and I ask for your consideration on November 5th.
