Colors at Ell Pond

The mist fell gently on the still golden leaves that are holding fast on this early fall day.

The already bare trees welcome the nourishment that will help sustain them through the long winter days.

The ground is scattered with the fallen leaves that have turned the color of rust, as they lay on the green lawns.

A flock of Canada geese have gently glided by, and although the day is grey, the still golden trees across the lake reflect in the water.

There is no sound, no movement of trees, but a picture to hold in my mind when the ground will be covered in the color of white
