Come to the Fairy House Festival Saturday at Pine Banks
Come to the Fairy House Festival Sat. Aug 26 from Noon - 4 pm at Pine Bank: Builder's Workshop, Fairy House Walk, Story Hour, Music & more!

Malden Ward Five City Councillor Barbara Murphy invites Melrosians to come to the third Fairy House Festival from Noon to 4pm, this Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Pine Banks Park.
“The Fairy House Festival is a time for families to unplug, get creative and enjoy the natural habitat of Pine Banks Park,” said Councillor Murphy. “Building a house for nature’s friends engages the imagination and creates a sense of joy and pride.”
The event will feature a Builder’s Workshop where children will be able to use their imagination and all natural materials to build homes for fairies and nature’s other friends including hobbits, elves, gnomes or trolls. All participants will receive an official Fairy House Builder’s Certificate.

Attendees are invited to bring a picnic lunch, enjoy the natural habitat and enjoy the afternoon.
Councillor Murphy who started the event two years ago, inspired by author and illustrator Tracy Kane’s Fairy Houses series, is hoping for an even bigger crowd this year. “Join us Saturday and help sprinkle a little fairy dust in our world,” she said.
Pine Banks Park, located at 1087 Main Street, Malden, is a recreational area containing ballfields, picnic areas and walking trails that spans more than one hundred acres spread across the Malden / Melroseline. Both cities share equally the cost of maintaining this public park.
This event is sponsored by Malden Ward Five City Councillor Barbara Murphy, Forestdale Park and the Adelaide Breed Bayrd Foundation.
