Driver Passed Out At Intersection: Melrose Police Log

MELROSE, MA — The following are excerpts from the Melrose Police log:
Tuesday, Oct. 9
12:14 p.m. - Someone reported a wild coyote on Hawley Road. Coyote made it to the woods where officer lost sight of it.

3:51 p.m.- A 23-year-old Lowell man was issued a summons on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense) on Main Street.
4:40 p.m. - A 24-year-old Melrose man from Lynde Street was arrested on charges of failure to stop for police, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense) and negligent operation of a motor vehicle on First Street.

Thursday, Oct. 11
4 a.m. - Police responded to a call of a vehicle stopped at the intersection of East Emerson and Lebanon, and that the driver was asleep and missed a full light cycle. Officers issued a 29-year-old Stoneham man a summons on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
8:37 a.m. - A crash on East Emerson resulted in an 18-year-old Melrose man from Heywood Ave. summonsed on charges of leaving the scene of property damage/accident and license not in possession.
Friday, Oct. 12
12:11 a.m. - A vehicle failed to stop for police on Upham Street headed toward Saugus. The vehicle had a flat tire. When it stopped, the 19-year-old Saugus man was issued a summons on charges of failure to stop for police, speeding, number plate violation to conceal ID, uninsured motor vehicle, and unregistered motor vehicle.
3:12 a.m. - Someone on West Emerson called to report a bloody man knocking on the back door. The man had a large cut on his head.
Sunday, Oct. 14
11:18 a.m. - A 31-year-old Melrose woman from Tremont St. was issued a summons on charges of leaving the scene of property damage after a crash on Upham.
